411’s WWE LFG Season Two Report: Episode Ten
-This show has hit kind of a lull for me the last few weeks. Here’s hoping we can pick things up again this week. Let’s get to it!
-Team Taker: Shiloh Hill, Drake Morreaux, Bayley Humphrey, Dani Sekelsky
-Team Bubba: BJ Ray, Zena Sterling, Haze Jameson, Elijah Holyfield
-Team Michelle: Anthony Luke, P-Nasty, Summer Sorrell, Trill London
-Team Booker: Harlem Lewis, Chris Island, Tatyanna Dumas, Sirena Linton
-Scoreboard: McCool 5, Taker , Booker 3, Bubba 2
-Men’s Scoreboard: Elijah 2, Shiloh 2, Harlem 1, Drake 1, Anthony 1, London 1
-Women’s Scoreboard: Penina 4, Sirena 2, Dani 2
-Joe Tessitore is our narrator. Vic Joseph and Jeremy Borash handle announcing duty during the matches.
-Apparently this is the last show before eliminations start. Tonight’s matches: Sirena vs. Penina, Zena vs. Dani, Shiloh vs. Harlem, Drake vs. Luke. The idea is Shawn wants them to try to steal the show and make the others try to “follow that.” Well, that would put the guys in the Main Event at a disadvantage as nobody is following them.
-Show opening!
-It’s morning and Shawn is here to remind the Future Greats what is at stake. The Playoffs begin in 2 weeks. He wants the Future Greats to go out and put on the best performance they can.
-The Legends meet and Taker says he has hard decisions and he wants to see Drake tested. Michelle offers Anthony Luke. Michelle also wants Penina to get some work but doesn’t know if anyone wants to fight her. Booker says Sirena wants to face her. Bubba says Sirena and Penina should thank God for Zena as she got both of them there. Dr. Seuss presents LFG! Taker wants to see Dani against Zena. Booker wants Harlem to get a match and Taker immediately throws out Shiloh. So Taker gets three chances this week. I assume Elijah is still hurt and they didn’t want BJ out there for a third straight week. Bubba says Shiloh is the front runner and Booker is pissed to hear that. Bubba is not even trying to make it seem like his guy, BJ, has any chance.
-We go back to the last meeting between P-Nasty and Sirena, where Sirena messed up a rana. She has much more confidence this time and wants to redeem herself.
Sirena Linton (Team Booker) vs. P-Nasty (Team McCool)
-Lockup and Nasty backs Sirena into the corner. Nothing of note, so they go again. Nasty gets a knock down, but misses a clothesline. Sirena tries an arm-drag, but no dice and Nasty gets a slam. Small Package from Sirena gets two. Sirena avoids a charge and Nasty spills to the floor. Sirena tries a rana off the apron, but Nasty catches her and swings her into the railing. Okay, that looked great!
-Commercials!
-Back in the ring Nasty hooks a neck crank. Eh, it’s better than a nerve hold at least. Nasty misses a charge in the corner. Sirena starts her comeback, but Nasty sends her down again. Suplex is countered into a DDT from Sirena for two. That looked good as well. Sirena hits the rana this time thought it looked more like a head scissors, but she got it. Sirena off the top with The Molly Go Round for the pin at 3:22.
Winner: Sirena Linton via pin at 3:22
-Couple of sweet spots! I continue to be impressed with the way Sirena is coming along.
-Nasty attacks after the match to get her heat back and tells the camera “it’s aint over until I say it’s over.”
-Bubba talks to Zena and asks what she has done this season. She says she has helped everyone have their best match. Bubba tells her that’s great as she is helping someone else win season two.
-Taker wants to see Zena have fear in her eyes for the first time and puts that on Dani to make happen. This is their first ever meeting apparently.
-Commercials!
Zena Sterling (Team Bubba) vs. Dani Sekelsky (Team Taker)
-Zena gets a side headlock and Taker notes: “it wouldn’t be a Zena match with a side headlock.” Dani seems to go heel in the match as she brings the aggression like Taker wants. Not enough for his liking though as he seems annoyed. Dani sends Zena into the corner and stands on her back to choke. Zena lands a back elbow and fires off chops. STO gets a two count. Dani goes to ground and pound and Taker notes it has become a “tater fest tonight.” Dani gets an arm submission, but Dani lifts her off the mat and gets a slam. There’s that power background from Zena. Forearms from Dani and she connects with a clothesline. Zena hits a back splash in the corner and it’s snug. Zena hurts her arm though and Dani gets a roll-up with the tights and standing on Zena’s arm for the pin at 4:03.
Winner: Dani Sekelsky via pin at 4:03
-I enjoyed this. I want to see more of them against each other.
-Booker plays hype man for Harlem as he tells him everyone thinks Shiloh is the favorite. He wants Harlem to breaks his ass tonight.
-Commercials!
Shiloh Hill (Team Taker) vs. Harlem Lewis (Team Booker)
-I am expecting something good from these two. Harlem with a running shoulder tackle and then Shiloh responds with one of his own. He hits his standing Senton. They fight on the apron and Harlem teases a suplex. Shiloh escapes and hits a running boot as they are working snug. Lewis uses the tights to send Hill into the apron and then sends him into the stairs. Back in the ring Harlem goes to ground and pound and hits a running boot for two. I love the aggression from both. They just start trading shots and we get a LOUD chop from Harlem that rang throughout the PC. They spill to the floor again and wrestle out there. They just start trading blows as the judges are convinced they are live rounds. The ref calls it off at 3:24.
No Contest at 3:24
-Taker is pissed as he yells at Booker that Harlem is taking liberties. Booker says the guy doesn’t know what he is doing and Taker says he is defending himself. Booker: “I saw a guy getting his ass whooped.”
-Backstage, Shiloh charges at Harlem and they have to be separated. Work or shoot, doesn’t matter as it’s at least intense.
-Commercials!
-Maxxine Dupri is backstage with Luke as she is here to support her boyfriend. He cuts a promo saying he will be known as Anthony Luke and Drake will be known as Roxanne Perez’ boyfriend. Well, that brings Drake and Roxxane into the picture and I smell a mixed tag match somewhere down the line. Maxxine and Roxanne nearly get into it.
Anthony Luke (Team McCool) vs. Drake Morreaux (Team Taker)
-This is our Main Event with the full crowd and bells and whistles. Mr. and Mrs. Taker are in the Crow’s Nest! Roxanne is watching from the crowd. Luke works the arm to start and then pulls the hair to get Shiloh to the mat. Drake counters and hooks an armbar. Shoulder tackle from Drake. Luke nearly trips over Drake running the ropes. Drake gets a knock down and starts dancing. Luke blocks a charge in the corner, but gets caught with a slam. Splash off the middle ropes gets two. Chokeslam, but Luke bails to the floor. He points to his head, so Drake pulls him off the floor to the apron. Drake drops down and Drake goes throat first on the top rope. They trade right hands but Drake misses a charge in the corner. Running kick gets a two count for Luke. Maxxine is in the crowd as well and is talking trash to Roxxane. Let them fight and the winner can keep the extra “X.” Drake starts to get rolling, but Luke uses the corner to create space and then runs Drake into the buckle. Lights, Camera, Action finishes at 4:19.
Winner: Anthony Luke via pin at 4:19
-I think the men had one of their better weeks and out performed the women this time.
-Commercials!
-Women: Booker goes with his own as he votes for Sirena. Not shocking and I am cool with it. Bubba gives credit to all four women, but thinks Dani and Zena had the better match. He wanted to see Dani turn it up a bit more, so he votes for Zena. Taker goes with Dani since he asked her to do something different. Michelle can break the tie or can do the funny thing and vote for Penina. She instead votes for Zena as it’s a miracle. The Taker Family Voting Block is broken for this week at least. Maybe she wanted to keep Taker a point back of her. Good for Zena getting that elusive point.
-Men: Booker votes for Harlem because he beat a man’s ass. He then asks Shiloh what happened and asks why he lost his cool. Taker goes back to liberties being taken. Taker tells Harlem he will end up on the future endeavors list if he keeps doing that. Taker says it was dangerous and Booker tells him he saw no blood. Man, Taker is getting soft. Taker obviously votes for Shiloh. Michelle doesn’t know how to vote for that match as it didn’t finish. She gives her vote to Anthony and we have the chance for a 4 way tie again. Bubba asks Harlem who is to blame for what went wrong and he says both of us. “Great answer,” says Bubba, but his vote goes to Anthony Luke.
-Team Standings: McCool 7, Taker 5, Booker 3, Bubba 3
-Men: Shiloh 2, Anthony 2, Elijah 2, Harlem 1, Drake 1, Trill 1
-Women: Penina 4, Sirena 2, Dani 2, Zena 1
-Zena says she is excited to get that point as she felt she has been letting Bubba down.
-Next week everyone who didn’t get to work this week, are in the ring next week.
-I can understand Michelle’s line of thinking in not voting for the match that had an actual finish. Luke kind of wins by default, but I enjoyed Lewis/Hill more. For the women, I was okay with the going going to anyone but Penina. Good for Zena though I don’t know if this was her best week, but she was owed a point or two from previous weeks. Better show this week and next week we wrap up the “regular season.” I wonder if Elijah will be cleared? Funny how last season they brought in a replacement for an injured BJ, but nothing for Elijah this time. Thanks for reading!
